Kathy, wife of station owner Tony Johnson, is a long time supporter and
volunteer at WVOV, beginning with her work as host of the Saturday morning
program, “The Gospel Express".
Currently, Kathy volunteers with the financial management of the station,
helps in production work, and most importantly
supports Tony’s vision of WVOV as
a radio ministry that encourages and supports listeners in their daily efforts
to share the love of God.
Kathy is employed full time in Hampton, Virginia where she and Tony maintain
their primary residence, and as time permits comes to Danville to attend gospel
music concerts, visit their Danville home, and work at the station.
In her spare time Kathy enjoys creative hobbies, including visual art, dance,
gardening, interior design, singing and playing the piano. Her newest endeavor
is to connect with family and friends through social networking internet sites
such as Facebook.
